The Horizon 2020 funded project GEO-CRADLE,  running from 2016 to 2018, aims at promoting the uptake and exploitation of Earth Observation activities and interconnecting a regional community of geo-information actors covering North Africa, Middle East and the Balkans.

In the frame of this project, a Regional Workshop is organised in Istanbul, Turkey, on 15 and 16 March 2018 to introduce the Copernicus Services and Data Hubs and showcase GEO-CRADLE’s project pilot results and user cases with the aim of highlighting cross-sector cooperation on transversal topics such as water management, adaptation to climate change or food security.

In the introduction to this event, a presentation of the RUS service will be given to explain how such an initiative can support knowledge transfer and cross-sector fertilization of good practices.
