A face-to-face training session is organised in the frame of the 12th International Conference of the African Association of Remote Sensing of the Environment (AARSE 2018) entitled “Earth Observations and Geospatial Science in Service of Sustainable Development Goals“. The conference will take place in Alexandria, Egypt, from 25 to 29 October 2018.

This session will focus on Cloud computing with Sentinels in order to get the attendees familiar with a cloud computing facility such as the RUS service and to learn how to request a RUS Virtual Machine for Earth Observation projects and activities exploiting the Copernicus Sentinel data.

The exercises will be based on Open Source tools (ESA SNAP Toolbox and QGIS) and demonstrated by a trainer connected to a remote Virtual Machine through Internet.
