A closed two-day hands-on training course, is organized  on 4 & 5 November 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland, by the RUS Copernicus service and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for the ICRC community.

The main goal of this training session is to create theoretical and practical competences on the use of Sentinel data for multiple applications, including land cover, urban areas and forest fires.

After an introduction to the Copernicus programme and the Sentinels data and applications, the course will include hands-on exercises on satellite image processing and classification. Attendees will access RUS powerful Virtual Machines to learn how to process Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 datasets.
