RUS Copernicus will provide a two days hands-on training session at the Observatory of Tartu University – Faculty of Science and Technology – in Estonia on 18 & 19 February 2020.
This training session will be dedicated to Land Applications, involving crop mapping, flood mapping, burned areas mapping and detection of active fires. During this training, we will use different and complementary data (radar, optical, IR) from Sentinel-1, 2, 3 and now also from Sentinel-5P, thanks to the open and free policy of the Copernicus programme.
Focus will be given to hands-on exercises aimed at practising and acquiring skills and expertise on the open-source processing toolboxes available in the RUS environment. Attendees must bring their own laptop and will be provided with access to a RUS Virtual Machine.
The course is limited to 25 participants. Attendance to the course is free of charge, however travel and accommodation expenses are excluded. Participants will be selected by the local organizers.
